From mid-October to early November, Fall becomes a full swing here in Tennessee, and trees transform before your eyes. There are so many fantastic places to go for the best fall foliage viewing and many of these awe-inspiring autumn sights can be found right in the rolling ranges of the Smokies. This valley sits in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and offers visitors scenic overlooks in fall and hiking trails with great views to take snapshots. 2. Tellico Plains

Fall is the perfect time to visit Tellico Plains aside from Christmas. It is known as, “The Little Town with the Big BackYard” and “vintage mountain town”. Take a drive, take a hike, fall in love, and witness oak, walnut, and hickory trees change colour as the autumn months arrive.

3. Clingmans Dome

Clingmans Dome offers an unbeatable 360-degree view of the forest at 6,643ft (2,024m) above sea level, which gives you a different experience to feel like you’re on top of the world. Located on the state border of Tennessee and North Carolina, you will find America’s best colors during fall.

4. Lookout Mountain Tower

The gorgeous colors of the fall season can also be seen in Chattanooga, Tennessee. There are plenty of ways to enjoy this place in the fall season; from riverboat cruises to bike tours to hiking through the forest. Lookout Mountain in Point Park has fantastic views of the river and city. Take the delightfully named Chattanooga Choo Choo along the Tennessee Valley Railroad for a retro, scenic tour with all the joys of steam trains in the fall.

5. Reelfoot Lake Skate Park

Located Near the Kentucky border, Reelfoot Lake in Northwest Tennessee. The cypress trees are one of the highlights of this park. People trek here from all across the region to see it. The bright colors of autumn are on full display in the forest as fiery hues transform the watery landscape. If you’re lucky, you might spot eagles flying overhead. The best chance is when you go there during the day.
